Subscription Terms

This page covers the money: when you are charged, when it happens again, how to stop it, and when you can have it back. It sits alongside our Terms of Service.

1. Your plan renews automatically

Every plan on Novel AI Services renews by itself until you cancel it. That is how the price you were shown is possible, and we would rather you read it here than discover it on a statement.

You pay for the whole period up front. We email you a receipt for every charge, and we email you before a renewal so it is never the first you hear of it.

2. Trials

The Coursemint platform includes a 3-day free trial. If you do not cancel before it ends, the first charge is taken automatically and your plan begins.

The AI Skills Program has no free trial. The shortest plan is one week, which is deliberately small enough to be the trial.

3. Discounts

If you were offered a discount during sign-up, it was real and it applied to the price you paid. Discounts have an expiry, which is shown on the page and enforced — an expired discount is not applied, and we do not quietly extend it.

The renewal price is stated on the checkout page. Read that line before you pay: where a discount applies to the first period only, the page says so and gives the figure that comes afterwards. We will never increase what you are charged on renewal without emailing you first and giving you time to cancel.

Your payment method decides whether it can renew at all. Cards, and direct debit in Nigeria, can be charged again, so those plans renew automatically until you cancel. Bank transfer, USSD and mobile money cannot be charged again — there is nothing stored to charge. If you pay that way your access simply ends when the period you paid for runs out, and we email you beforehand so you can renew by hand if you want to. You will never be charged for a period you did not agree to.

4. Cancelling

Go to your account page and press Cancel renewal. That is the whole process. There is no retention offer to sit through, nothing to email us, and no phone call.

Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not end your access early:

• You keep everything you paid for until the end of the current period.
• You are not charged again.
• You can resubscribe later; your progress is still there.

If you cancel and are charged anyway, email us before you contact your bank. We will refund it, and it is faster than a chargeback for both of us.

5. Refunds

We offer a money-back guarantee on first purchases:

• AI Skills Program — 30 days.
• Coursemint — 60 days.

Email support@novelaiservices.com from the address you paid with and ask. You do not have to give a reason. Refunds go back to the payment method you used and take as long as your bank takes, typically five to ten working days in Nigeria.

Outside those windows, a renewal you did not intend is still worth emailing about. We would rather refund an unused period than argue about it.

Two exceptions, stated plainly: we do not refund periods you have substantially used and completed, and we do not refund an account closed for breaking the Terms of Service.

6. Failed payments

If a renewal fails, we and Paystack will retry over a few days and email you. If it keeps failing, the subscription stops and your access ends at the close of the period you last paid for. Nothing goes to a debt collector and no fee is added.

7. Price changes

If we change the price of a plan you are on, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. You can cancel before then and pay nothing more. We do not change the price of a period you have already paid for.

8. Currency

We charge in your local currency where we support it, and in US dollars otherwise. Where we convert, we use a fixed internal rate rather than a live one, so the price you were shown is the price you are charged. Your bank may add its own fee on an international payment — that part is between you and them.

9. Your statutory rights

Nothing here removes rights you have under the consumer law of the country you live in, including any statutory right to cancel a distance contract.
